Course Description
Florida Statute 429.02 Define “Aging in place as the process of providing increased or adjusted services to a person to compensate for the physical or mental decline that may occur with the aging process, in order to maximize the person’s dignity and independence and permit them to remain in a familiar, no institutional, residential environment for as long as possible”. With that being said, it can become very challenging when caring for the frail elderly and disable populace. As one advance in age, some older people will develop weakness, changes in health, and disable, which is a combined effect of the ageing process and health experiences as well as chronic diseases.
Upon completion of this course the learner will be granted 3 hours of continuous educations.
Populations: ALF Administrators, Adult Family Home Providers, Nurses and employees.
